Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to review existing counseling and education programs for parents having aggressive children and find more concrete methods of parent education and counseling which can help the parents to grow into their children’s effective managers and mentors. Concentrating on the parent counseling program conducted in a counselling center in Seoul for three years, this study examined counseling methods and contents and provided counseling guidelines for parents having aggressive and rebellious children. The methods and contents discussed in this study should be used as basic data to support the need and effectiveness of parent consultation as well as a practical guideline for counselors, teachers and parents.
